Clinical workers in dentistry have a high incidence of musculoskeletal disorders, One of the great advantages of the use of the surgical microscope is that it improves ergonomics by improving our working posture. However, we have seen that the ergonomic potential of the microscope is not used due to a lack of information and basic knowledge of how to properly implement its use.
At the end of the training, each dentist will be able to return to their office and immediately apply the use of the microscope with proper ergonomics, positioning themselves correctly as operators, positioning the patient correctly, positioning the instruments correctly, and giving the assistant an understanding of their role in ergonomics for the dentist and how it can benefit them. Dentists will also gain an understanding of how proper microscope positioning will impact their health as well as the quality of clinical care they deliver. Participants will learn how to work pain-free and relieve the physical stress that plaques the dental profession.
The participant will be able to use the microscope efficiently and fluidly, executing the daily and complex endodontic procedures in a more predictable way using one hundred percent the benefits of magnification and appropriate postures with the ergonomic positioning system learned during the course and at the same time execute an adequate post-endodontic restoration, all this in a simulation environment with typodonts adapted to the dental chair.
All the participants must submit short videos for the purpose of a pre-course video assessment along with a questionnaire for an individual ergonomic analysis.
