Description:
There is considerable confusion in the dental community about the different types of tooth resorption, which ones are treatable and how to treat them. This presentation will identify the four primary types of pathological tooth resorption: invasive cervical resorption, internal resorption, external inflammatory resorption and replacement resorption. Topics discussed will be diagnosis, the wide variation in prognosis, decision-making, and proper clinical management if treatment is indicated. Specific treatment protocols will also be discussed.
